Manuel Carrera Cordon
Aeolus with Boat Brooch
Aeolus with Boat Brooch
This one of a kind jewellery object – is a long-term collaboration between a father, Manuel Carrera, and his son, Manuel Carrera Jr. It took them six months to create this artwork.
The main attention catches the ship, based on a natural blue topaz of 722 cts. The yacht can also be worn as a brooch: it detaches from the topaz. The sails are made of diamonds, each stone was cut individually. The frame of the ship itself consists of 24 ct gold.
The time used in the manufacture of this artwork is estimated at 190 hours.
